URBAN ARCHERY INFORMATION
The NC Wildlife Resources Commission has given NC municipalities the opportunity to participate in an Extended Urban Archery Deer Season. With the deer populations growing in urban areas, the number of motor vehicle accidents involving deer is also on the rise. In an effort to control the deer population and to mitigate accidents involving deer, the Urban Deer Season was created. Season will be January 13 through February 18, 2024.
The Town of Valdese is participating in the Urban Archery Deer Season. Please note that the Town of Valdese does not grant permission to hunt on anyone's property, does not allow hunting on town-owned property, and does not maintain a list of property owners. Please refer to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission website for hunting regulations at www.ncwildlife.org.
